INTRODUCTION
All our cutting products are made with
100% synthetic diamond bounded with a synthetic resin.
This process allows stocking several layers of the
diamond-saturated resin on each other. The new layers are
exposed when old ones lose most of the sharpness and
cutting speed. When using resin-bond product you will
experience a soft and gentle cutting, achieving sharp
straight edges and less unwanted scratches on flat facets.
Only disadvantage of this resin-bound system is lack of
aggressiveness. This could be compensated by using more
grit sizes, which is a recommended procedure anyway. By
properly changing grits you get a nice smooth finish. It
saves time while you don't have to repeat cutting steps
for just removing deeper scratches. This helps especially
in the final stage of cutting - polishing. We also offer a
variety of polishing laps based on the diamond grits or
oxides. These laps have active layer that can be
recharged. It enhances the useful surface life for
many stones. With this polishing system, you eliminate the
usually messy processes. Each diamond size has assigned
specific color which helps to identify grits easily.
Dyna
Disc System is the most popular product. It is
very flat and lightweight. The surface is built from two
diamond-saturated resin layers. For easier handling, the
central washer or adapter allows you to lift and change
discs even on machines with very tight splash guards.
Thickness of the disc is about 1/8 of inch. We recommend
using at least 4-inch wide master lap for supporting a
disc on the machine. The ADAPTER keeps the disc
centered and pressed against the master lap. You just need
to use one adapter per machine.
Cutting
Cylinders 1" diameter are used for cutting curved
facets. They are made in all the same grit sizes as Dyna
Discs or Glass laps. They fit to a 1/4" shaft or dop
stick.
